This past Friday(1/16/09) began the next step in the journey towards parenthood. I had to be at the RE bright and early for CD2 blood work and an internal ultrasound. Fun times! I was given a prescription for birth control pills and started those on Sunday. The birth control will continue for approximately 6 weeks in order to prepare me for the IVF cycle in March.
A few things I'm feeling at the moment:
Scared. Scared that it won't work. Scared that it will work.
Tired. Tired of these appointments and the fun has just begun.
Nervous. Nervous about what all of these hormones will do to me and my outlook on things.
I know for a fact, regardless of the outcome, I am strong enough to withstand whatever it is that comes my way. I just wish I knew what was coming.
